Brides les Bains is an old-established
spa resort offering a mix of elegant fin de siecle architecture
and modern facilities. Brides-les-Bains is
a year-round resort. As well as the summer activities below, there
is a recently opened superb modern
Oriental-style Spa centre offers many treatments in luxurious
surroundings. Brides-les-Bains
is a wonderful choice for experts willing to drive a little to bag
all the top black pistes.

Although situated in a valley, take the Olympic
3 stage, 20
minute cable car to Meribel and the vast Trois Vallees ski region. So you
can have the best of both worlds, staying in a genuine village whilst enjoying
access to some of the best skiing in Europe. Brides-les-Bains is only four
miles from Moutiers, the usual rail entrance to Les Trois Vallees and the
main access road to other alpine ski areas. This means a lot less travel
time for those who want to drive to other resorts covered by the massive
Savoie Olympic Pass, with roughly 1,000 miles of pistes (runs) and accesses
600 lifts.

Brides-les-Bains offers
a great mixture of stunning mountain scenery with all the amenities of a
well-established resort town. There are many marked walking trails, and
the cable car will whisk you into the mountains without all the effort of
climbing. Once there, enjoy the meadows and trails, then take advantage
of the many bars and restaurants in the town to rejuvenate yourself in preparation
for another day's activity - climbing, mountain biking, paragliding etc.
Access:
Brides is very easy to reach, whether by car or rail. It's only 6km (4 miles)
from Moutiers which can be reached by high speed TGV train from Paris (630km/394
miles) in the winter and by dual-carriageway from Albertville (30km/18 miles),
which is linked to the motorway network by the A43. It is about 8.5 hours
driving time from Calais, not counting stops.
The nearest international airport is Geneva (125km/78 miles) with flights
from the UK also serving airports at Chambery (80km/50 miles) and Lyon St
Exupery (170km/94 miles).
