Kaprun is situated in the area of "Europa Sport Region" - an area with
different peaks and the majestic lake of "Zeller See". A paradise for summer

Access:
Kaprun is 80km (50
miles) from Salzburg in the province of Salzburgerland, in northern Austria.
Apart from Salzburg airport, the largest international airport is Munich,
210km (120 miles) away.
Drivers have easy access to the resort thanks to its low altitude compared
to other top ski areas. Coming from the north leave the motorway at
the Seigsdorf exit in Germany on the Munich to Salzburg motorway, then drive
south through Lofer and Saalfelden to Zell am See and Kaprun. There are
large free car parks at the ski lift base stations.
The nearest train station is Zell am See, so train travellers should take a
bus or taxi from there to Kaprun. There is a taxi stand beside the
station.
