Pralognan is easy to reach, situated in a bowl at the end
of a 27km drive from Moutiers, following the road which starts towards
Courchevel and Meribel. The road is a good one, but you should carry chains
in case of snowfall. Pralognan is almost unknown by the British. You can ski
directly from your hotel and the slopes and lifts are never crowded.
Pralognan may be a little smaller than the larger resorts
nearby, but it more than makes up for it with its other charms. The slopes
are top quality, with some nice challenging blacks for the adventurous,
right down to plenty of 'easy snow' for the beginner. Prices are reasonable,
and people are friendly and helpful. The views are stunning. The local ESF
provides ski, snowboard and snowblade instructors of a high quality - maybe
helped by the fact that many of them used to be on the Olympic team! Along
with the great skiing there is an Olympic skating rink and plenty of night
life, including a very lively discotheque.

and circuits for you to choose from throughout your stay. These paths are

is a well-known centre for Alpine mountaineering and climbing.
