Unlike its neighbour Flaine, Samoens is very attractive,
a medieval village and a listed monument. A lift from Samons village
at 720m whisks skiers up to the Grand Massif ski area at 1,600m
in eight minutes, so you get the benefit of a real village together
with some great skiing.

Our apartments are scattered throughout Samoens and the
nearby village of Morillon, so a car is essential, as some apartments are
up to 2 km from the nearest ski lift. Or for some real Savoyard hospitality,
pamper yourself in the Hotel Edleweiss in the village itself.
Access: Samoens is one of the easiest resorts to
reach by car, just 40 miles from Geneva along the A40 plus an easy
11 mile climb from Cluses. It's about a 9 hour drive from Calais, not counting
stops. You can book a taxi to Samons from Geneva Airport for only 39 euros

150 km of hikes, 7 tennis courts, football pitch, minigolf,
heated swimming pool with slide, riding, paragliding, rafting on the 'Giffre',mountaineering
and hiking. Child-minding service in the village from 3 months of age.
Samons in winter
4 skiing resorts Flaine, Morillon, Les Carroz and Samoens
have joined together to form "Domaine du Grand Massif" and together they
form one of the largest ski regions in Europe. In Samoens itself there is
1 cable cabin, 4 chair lifts and 9 drag lifts. Ski school, child-minding
in the village for over 1 year olds and on the ski runs for over 3's. 50
km of cross country ski trails, 1 trail at Lac aux Dames is illuminated
at night, trails for ski hikes. Artificial ice rink.
