Perched on a sunny plateau Verbier is a large bustling resort with a traditional mountain atmosphere. The 4 Vallees ski domain, of which it part, is huge, high and generally challenging. Gondolas rise from Verbier's main street and gradually rise to the Fort glacier.

Non-skiing activities are too many to mention them all, but include snowmobiling, paragliding, heli-skiing, mountaineering, ice climbing, snow shoe walks and tobogganing. The sports centre has an indoor pool, indoor ice rink and Slide Sensations, offering snow cross, tubes, snow karts mud bikes and general fun.
